We are a bi-annual art exhibition held in May each alternate year in Tapanui, West Otago. We welcome entries of all art mediums and from experienced artists to beginners.
This year our guest artist is Sarah Frieburger from Dunedin. Sarah grew up in Southern Germany where she spent the first twenty years of her life. Painting has always been important to her. She learnt her skills by experimenting, observing and painting alongside passionate painters. She moved to New Zealand at the end of 2011 and settled in Dunedin. She mainly paints New Zealand landscapes with a touch of realism. Her absolute favorites are forest scenes. She primarily works with acrylic paint on a smooth, hard surface. Her acrylic works mainly focus on the play of light in nature. In 2014 she exhibited in Dunedin’s former Mint Gallery where she had four successful solo shows. She regularly exhibits works at the Otago Art Society and Moray Gallery in Dunedin.
